Continuing his career in the eBay field, Banks operated out of his home office selling high end goods and antiques for affluent clients. It wasn’t long before a long time partner and he opened a dedicated eBay drop-off store in New York. About a year later, franchised eBay stores were popping up all over the country and Banks went on to manage the franchise operations of the leading eBay drop-off store franchise at the time. Like many ventures, eBay and the brick-and-mortar stores have seen better times. The eBay party was over for many and as employees left the once 800 pound online gorilla, stores closed and franchises de-franchised. It was the end of an era for many in the business. That was late 2005 when Michael started supporting all types of business owners as the OCEC. |
